Job Summary and Primary Objectives:Assist the supervisor in coordinating the activities of team members in the manufacturing process. Utilize experience and knowledge of equipment, procedures and product specifications. Perform work of team members. Train new employees and ensure quality of products.
Tasks and Responsibilities:- Assist and lead team members
- Perform line start up
- Make and keep daily schedule
- Do quality checks
- Minor troubleshooting for machines and equipment
- Consult regularly with Group Leader
- Back up for absences; relieve others for breaks and lunches
- Record keeping of parts and info
- Operate fork truck if licensed
- Wear all appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
- Able to read and understand kanbans
- Able to lift between 25 and 50 lbs
- Be safety conscious
- Good communication skills (verbal & oral)
- Able to stand for 8 to 12 hours
- Bending and squatting required
- Understanding of production processes.
- Know Safety/Accident reporting procedures.
- Some computer experience
- High School Diploma preferred
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Must be able to read and write English
