Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a general Operating Room position in Indiana with orthopedic, robotic, and cesarean section experience required.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based OR with 13 suites including a Hybrid OR,

• Handles a variety of surgeries including orthopedics, sports medicine, GYN, general, pediatric dental, bariatric, urology, peripheral vascular (open and endovascular), cesarean, ophthalmology, and spine cases,

• Uses DaVinci Xi robot, O-arm, and Stealth navigation,

• Shift: 10:30am-11:00pm, three days per week with call required after shift until 6:30am the following day,

• Assigned call for all holidays and weekends,

• No floating to other units required,

• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:1,

• EPIC EMR and OMNICELL medication system used,

Job Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license,

• Minimum Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required, BSN preferred,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• At least 5 years of OR experience required,

• Experience with orthopedic fractures, joint replacements, general/urologic/gynecologic procedures, DaVinci robot, and cesarean sections,

• Ability to administer and monitor conscious sedation, assist with intubation, and manage malignant hyperthermia,

• Must be able to respond within 45 minutes when on call,

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative care for a wide range of surgical procedures in a technologically advanced environment,

• Will work alongside a CST from 7pm-11pm,

• Hospital-provided scrubs and dedicated OR shoes or shoe covers are required,

• One day of orientation provided before independent practice,

• Back-up staff support is available for after-hours shifts,
