We are seeking a
** hands-on R&D Manager
** to lead research and product development initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing and research environment. This role is ideal for an experienced chemist who has successfully
** taken projects from concept through validation and implementation
** and is ready to step into a leadership position while remaining technically engaged in the lab.
The ideal candidate will combine
** strong scientific expertise with leadership capability** , guiding a small team while driving innovation, product development, and process improvements.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Lead
** research and development projects from concept through validation and implementation*
* + Provide
** technical leadership and mentorship
** to a small team of chemists and laboratory staff
+ Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to support product and process innovation
+ Develop
** new formulations, materials, or processes
** aligned with business objectives
+ Troubleshoot technical challenges and optimize existing products or manufacturing processes
+ Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure adherence to
** safety, regulatory, and quality standards*
* + Collaborate cross-functionally with
** production, quality, and regulatory teams*
* + Present technical findings, project updates, and recommendations to leadership
+ Evaluate and prioritize R&D initiatives based on
** business needs, technical feasibility, and available resources*
* ** Required Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's or Master's degree in
** Chemistry or a related scientific field*
* +
** 5+ years of hands-on experience
** as a chemist in an industrial, manufacturing, or research environment
+
** 1-2 years of leadership experience** (team lead, project lead, or supervisory role)
+ Experience
** developing projects from concept through validation and implementation*
* + Strong knowledge of
** experimental design, laboratory best practices, and data analysis*
* + Excellent
** problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills*
* ** Preferred Qualifications*
* +
Experience with
** product development or formulation chemistry*
* + Familiarity with
** regulatory and quality compliance standards*
* + Ability to manage
** multiple R&D projects simultaneously*
* + Experience working in a
** research or manufacturing environment*
