Responsibilities
  • Provides member service.
  • Maintains the checkout area.
  • Resolves member issues and concerns.
  • Promotes Sam's Club products and services.
  • Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology.
  • Processes member purchases.
  • Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
  • Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
  • Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise.
  • Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Maintains entrance areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.
  • Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
  • Maintains a safe shopping environment.
  • Maintains exit areas, reviews member receipts, and assists with securing & safeguarding Sam's Club assets and property.
  • Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Executes emergency response procedures and ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
  • Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teaches new technology and tool functionality, delivers new program rollout training, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures the area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Acts as a team player, building strong and trusting relationships, communicating with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence, and mentoring others.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*.

* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
