Security Resource Assistant - Evenings

Facilities Manager

Non-Exempt, Part Time

Facilities & Maintenance (Security), minimum starting rate of $15 per hour, additional depending on experience.

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area(s).
• Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds.
• Contacts dispatch, law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
• Documents incidents that occur and notifies Supervisor/Security Resource Officer.
• At closing: checks doors, windows, restrooms, gates and other areas to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Reasonably, non-physically, detains persons suspected of inappropriate behavior until law enforcement arrives.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Performs other Facilities/Maintenance duties as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Non-confrontational verbal communication skills required.
• Authoritative verbal communication skills to be performed when needed.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Security guard training certification a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience a plus, but not required.

• Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking monitoring events/property.
