Job Description | Installation Technician. The Installation Technician will be responsible for the professional installation of a wide range of structured cabling, interactive flat panels, and audio/video equipment at various client sites. This dynamic role involves travel, including some overnight stays, to deliver exceptional service and intelligently connected environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to quality workmanship.
Installation Technicians will report directly to the Director of Installation Services and play a critical role in the successful completion of our installation projects.

- Professionally install a wide range of structured cabling, interactive flat panels, and audio/video equipment at client sites.
- Coordinate and perform travel to client sites, including overnight stays, as required to complete installations.
- Collaborate with project teams and report to the Director of Installation Services to ensure successful project completion.
- Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Low-Voltage Systems Expertise: ability to install, terminate, and test network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic), security systems (CCTV, access control), and audio/visual systems.
- Blueprint and Diagram Interpretation: read and understand blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure correct layout and installation.
- Tool Proficiency: safe and effective use of a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Physical Stamina: capable of performing physically demanding tasks in diverse environments, including standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
- Lifting Capability: ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, often exceeding 50 pounds.
- Manual Dexterity: excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise tasks such as cable termination.
- Additional Preferences
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
- A strong aptitude for problem-solving, quick learning, analytical thinking, and persistence in resolving issues.
