Field Service Technician Level II Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician II to join our team and serve our clients in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.
The Field Service Technician Level II will carry out the essential responsibilities of a Level I installer and demonstrate advanced skills, training, certifications, and leadership abilities. The role will encompass configuring and programming a wide range of devices and management platforms, overseeing system commissioning, and delivering comprehensive customer training at a basic operations level. The position is pivotal in ensuring seamless executions and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
FieldService Technician Level II Responsibilities
- Execute all Level I installer roles, following comprehensive documentation.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills in handling project and service tickets.
- Understand project scopes and service expectations, delivering outstanding results.
- Assume leadership, delegating tasks and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Mentor Level 1 installers and seek their feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
- Showcase expertise in nurse call systems, card access systems, and video surveillance products.
- Pursue professional development opportunities, focusing on leadership and communication skills.
- Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) to ensure quality and performance standards.
- Configure and commission systems, providing reliable operational solutions to clients.
- Accept additional duties as assigned, enhancing job dynamics.
- Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
- Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
- Hands‑on field experience.
- Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP).
- Ability to identify and use common low‑voltage cabling.
- Solid knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
- Ability to read architectural drawings.
- Team management/supervisor experience.
- Experience completing projects within scope.
- Experience with service ticketing processes.
- Knowledge of fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
