OverviewResponsible for supervising the foreman by monitoring quality and safety. Provide planning and direction directly to the assigned foreman for construction activities for the project.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, oversee, and brief crew on daily work to be completed
- Plan and prioritize job tasks for assigned crews
- Direct and train assigned supervision on the project for quality workmanship and efficient production
- Familiar with the project safety plan
- Enforce safe practices and complete required safety reports
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds the company’s standards
- Manage crew timesheets
- Prepare quality and quantity reports
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and plans
- Evaluate, monitor, and report on work progression
- Ensure all work is conducted within the man-hour budget
- Maintain short-range look-ahead plans
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the field of work and assist or train as needed
- Assist the superintendent with look-ahead reports and coordinate work schedules of all specialty contractors
- Know the OSHA inspection process
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions on the project
- Perform project inspections
- Assist the superintendent in planning for job equipment, material, and staffing requirements in advance
- Attend required meetings, including scheduled supervisory meetings
- Demonstrate Yates Core Values and Principles
- Follow Yates Code of Conduct
- Refuse unsafe work and follow established Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices
- Report all incidents, near misses, and hazards to management
- Wear and maintain personal PPE as required
- Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations
- Participate in workplace inspections
- Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care
- Participate in required and assigned training
- Provide suggestions to improve safety
- Present a mature approach to working safely
- Attend prestart and safety meetings and participate
- Other related duties as needed and assigned by Field Supervision

Level I:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience
- Minimum of six (6) years of craft-classified experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervision experience
- Experience managing five to fifteen (5 to 15) team members
- Formal education/degree/certificate in construction, technical, or trade school such as NCCER Certification Plus
Level II:
- Same as Level I
- Successful completion of Yates Supervisor training
- Supervise installation per work packs and report quantities
- Complete time sheets for direct reports to track progress and verify time
- Responsible for the quality of the finished product, completing quality documentation including check sheets and final documentation
- Read ISO standards, blueprints, and P&IDs
- Successful completion of required safety training, including Confined Space, LOTO, and Working at Heights
