Overview

Site EHS professional responsible for instilling a superior safety culture through construction for employees and contractors, supporting site TCOS initiatives, and maintaining Safety and Environmental compliances

Responsibilities

* Attend supervisor and crew meetings, support and occasionally lead toolbox talks and monthly safety training

* Ensure regular (daily) visibility with employees in their department and act as a resource to offer guidance for performing tasks safely

* Build training with focus on TCOS concepts

* Promote TCOS concepts & drive initiatives outlined in the division safety plan. Champion improved safety practices with Sinton Employees

* Assist in the development and implementation of safety controls

* Coordinating, conducting, and tracking monthly safety training/events

* Participation in New Hire orientation and training

* Safety alert distribution and preparation

* Perform safety audits and walk-throughs and communicate the results

* JSA, LOTOTO, SOP, and Risk Assessment development and revisions

* Incident investigation, review, and follow-up.

Qualifications

Required:

* Excellent computer skills, preferably in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

* Ability to skillfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects

* Highly effective communication skills

* Travel requirements - intercompany, education, & benchmarking

* Background in Environmental Compliance

Preferred:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in safety or a safety-related field and/or 3 years of experience in a safety-related field.

* Construction Safety Experience

* Experience with Combustible dust
