The successful candidate will teach Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, instrumental courses and courses in their area of expertise.

Service to the department, university, and community is expected along with a commitment to the scholarship of teaching and learning at a diverse, primarily undergraduate institution. Applications should also have a viable research plan that incorporates undergraduate involvement. Additional start-up funding from NIH's MS INBRE (IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence) might be available if the research area relates to biomedical or public health fields.

Applicants may be considered that are near the completion of their doctoral degree, but completion of their degree within a year (August 2026) will be required for their continued employment. In addition to campus resources, Interactions and collaborations are also possible with Mississippi State University, a 25-minute drive from campus.
