EXPECTATIONS & DUTIES
  • Hold and maintain a valid Mississippi educator license with appropriate math endorsement(s)
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-aligned math instruction in accordance with the Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards (MCCRS)
  • Develop daily lesson plans that include differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Implement effective instructional strategies to promote student engagement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instruction
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance
  • Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance
  • Create and maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
  • Integrate instructional technology and digital resources to enhance math instruction
  • Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and administrators to support student achievement
  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and required trainings
  • Implement classroom management practices consistent with district and school policies
  • Support school improvement initiatives and comply with district curriculum pacing guides
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
  • Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities as needed
  • Fulfill assigned duties such as hall duty, tutoring, or extracurricular responsibilities, as applicable
  • Adhere to all district policies, Mississippi Department of Education regulations, and professional ethics standards

Contract / 187 Days

Exempt
