The Culinary Arts Institute anticipates the need for part‑time, time‑limited, non‑tenure track positions teaching food and nutrition courses. Adjunct instructors may be needed to teach courses in both the kitchen lab environment, lecture classroom, and online.
Essential
Duties Include:
- Provide high commitment to quality teaching in Nutrition.
- Commitment to maintaining prompt and regular communication with the student population.
- Updating course materials as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree – Nutrition, Dietetics, or Food Science
Preferred Qualifications
- RD, RDN preferred
- Experience teaching in nutrition, health science, or related field.
- Experience with community outreach
Job Description Summary
The Culinary Arts Institute anticipates the need for part‑time, time‑limited, non‑tenure track positions in Nutrition. Adjunct instructors may be needed to teach courses in kitchen labs, face‑to‑face classrooms, or online. Instructors may teach up to two Nutrition courses per semester.
Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre‑employment background investigation.
