The W Ambassadors support the recruitment of potential students as an extension of the Office of Admissions. An Ambassador must represent the best of what The W Student Body has to offer. Our Admissions Student Ambassadors meet with prospective students and their families as part of their campus visit experience. They cover a broad range of topics, including student life, academic options, and the application process.
Our Student Ambassadors are trained by our Admissions Counselors, and many are active in leadership positions across campus. Ambassadors will also aid in our Telecounseling efforts. Telecounseling is a recruitment strategy aimed at building relationships with prospective students over the telephone. It consists of frequent, ongoing telephone contact at critical points in each person’s decision‑making process.
Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre‑employment background investigation. A prior conviction reported as a result of the background investigation DOES NOT automatically disqualify a candidate from consideration for this position. However, failure to disclose may disqualify a candidate.
