Job Title
Manufacturing Engineer – Remanufacturing (SG2)
LocationColumbus, Mississippi

Responsibilities- Develop new and improved remanufacturing manufacturing processes, and provide assembly/machining process definitions and documentation.
- Achieve stability in all engine related processes by establishing FMEAs, developing and implementing process control plans, and optimizing individual workstations to maximize output.
- Specify, procure, and approve necessary tools and equipment required to sustain a flexible remanufacturing process.
- Develop and maintain new equipment project books, equipment FMEA standards, and engineering operational standards for use across departments.
- Support running business in daily start‑ups, continuous improvement, and total productive maintenance teams.
- Manage facility equipment numbering, documentation, and IT system integration.
- Conduct time and work sequence studies and implement required process modifications to improve quality and meet higher market demands.
- Provide direction within working groups to set priorities, project plans, and due dates. Monitor activities within the team and coordinate implementations and final reporting to area management.
- Maintain plant torque control tool spare parts management, tooling repair and replacement, and DC tool program back‑ups.
- Maintain PLC programs and modify as needed to support operations.
- Develop procedures and plant arrangements to ensure proper material handling and storage.
- Maintain control documents per ISO requirements.
- Participate in commissioning and new product launch activities.
- Facilitate effective communication to plant management on project status.
- Required:
B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial) plus 4 years of applicable manufacturing experience, or other bachelor’s degree (Industrial Technology or similar) plus 5 years of applicable manufacturing engineering experience. - Desired:
Automotive remanufacturing manufacturing experience. - Desired:
Practical application of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma tools. - Desired:
Black Belt Certified.
