Job Overview
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Avionics Technician to join our Retrofit team based in Columbus, MS. The role involves the assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft electrical and electronic components and systems, as well as the functional check of components in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance or refurbishing activities.
Responsibilities- Perform assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft electrical and electronic components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishment of aircraft, and conduct functional checks of components.
- Maintain close working relationships with the assigned lead regarding schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies, tools and special instructions.
- Execute work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to determine dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements.
- Ensure completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements and company specifications.
- Coordinate with various departments for materials, supplies, equipment and job schedules.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience working on avionics on aircraft, preferably in rotorcraft.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
- Current A&P license or FCC license is a plus.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
