Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• This position will provide Manufacturing Engineering support to the manufacturing operations of the plant.
• Typical duties include process design, tooling design, Capital project design and implementation, work instruction documentation, production and maintenance support.
• Plan and implement engineering projects including equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
• Review project design for compliance with engineering principles, safety requirements, company standards, and other related specifications.
• Generate project approval justification through Capital Asset Project Requests (CAPR) and manage Capital Projects including procurement, installation, programming, training, documentation, support to production, and provide status reports as required.
• Identify project staffing, assign and oversee specific phases or aspects such as technical studies, design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
• Analyze, plan, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 2 plus years of experience (preferred)
• Manufacturing process review/development.
• Strong understanding of Lean process improvements.
• Preferred Experience Includes:
  Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC and computer controls, CAD Software;
  Solid Works, Microsoft:
  Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Workday, Lean Six Sigma Certification, PMP Certification.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
