Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, improvement, and support of new and existing processes in their area of focus. Job functions include developing new and improved manufacturing processes, achieving stability in all engine related processes, specifying and approving necessary tools and equipment, managing facility equipment numbering, conducting time and work sequence studies, supporting simultaneous engineering in new engine development projects, providing direction within working groups, monitoring team activities, maintaining plant's torque control tool spare parts management, developing procedures and plant arrangements for material handling and storage, maintaining control documents per ISO requirements, participating in commissioning and new product launch activities, and facilitating effective communication to plant management on project status.

Qualifications include proven problem-solving skills, excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills, proven ability to work in a self-directed and team based environment, a B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar), 1-2 years Automotive Manufacturing Experience, practical application of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma tools, an M.S. Degree in Engineering or MBA, and Black Belt Certification.
