We’re committed to excellence, innovation, and operational discipline, and we’re looking for a hands‑on Plant Controller to help drive financial insight, strong controls, and continuous improvement at our manufacturing facility.
Position OverviewAs the Plant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. You will provide key support to manufacturing leadership while partnering with cross‑functional teams to improve performance, cost visibility, and decision‑making. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing finance experience, cost accounting expertise, and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities Cost Accounting & Product Costing- Own and continuously improve cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Track manufacturing variances and maintain costing sheets to ensure accurate recovered cost and operational visibility.
- Monitor cost rollups and validate accurate values for components (BOM/cost accuracy focus).
- Oversee inventory processes, including cycle count support, inventory quantity oversight, and reconciliation accuracy.
- Perform periodic review of inventory valuation and standard costs; support updates as needed.
- Verify and evaluate inventory adjustment proposals and ensure proper documentation and control.
- Partner with Supply Chain to monitor inventory levels and help prevent shortages; support localization and landed‑cost thinking.
- Develop, monitor, and communicate plant KPIs to identify cost savings opportunities and operational improvement actions.
- Provide actionable analysis and recommendations to improve operational efficiency (materials, labor, overhead).
- Monitor direct labor and workshop costs; evaluate efficiency improvements with operations leaders.
- Support financial reporting team with budgeting and forecasting for the manufacturing facility; partner with manufacturing leadership to build plans and manage performance vs. plan.
- Assist with monthly close activities and deliver timely, accurate reporting and variance explanations to corporate finance.
- Act as a financial business partner to manufacturing leadership—translate manufacturing performance into financial insights to support decisions.
- Identify and drive process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Support capital expenditure evaluation (business cases/ROI) and track approved project spending.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements within the manufacturing environment.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and support audit readiness; coordinate internal/external audits as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of cost accounting / manufacturing finance experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, standard costing, inventory management, and variance analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; able to partner with operations and supply chain.
- CPA or CMA.
- Experience supporting Cap Ex justification/ROI and audit activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in inventory controls/cycle counts and working‑capital improvement initiatives.
- Improved accuracy and transparency of standard costs, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
