Position

Under the direction of the Adult Community Crisis Stabilization Nurse Manager and working with the A-CCS Nurses and Prescribing Professionals, you will provide specialized care to adults in a 24-hour behavioral health crisis stabilization setting. We are currently looking for dedicated LPNs who want to make a difference in the lives of adults facing mental health challenges. You would be a key member of our medical team at the Aspire Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) Unit in Quincy.

The unit has 8 private rooms and offers a comfortable, supportive setting. A lower client census, and the ability to work with experienced nurses, makes this an ideal learning environment for someone newly licensed.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and documenting medication self administration during clients’ stay
  • Monitoring client physical medical issues and coordinating with Mental Health Workers to arrange for acute medical care when needed
  • Facilitating health and wellness groups and activities
  • Delivering treatment interventions that are strength based and solution-focused
  • Encouraging consumer completed risk management/safety plans and Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP)
  • Coordinating with clients’ outpatient and A-CCS care providers
  • Completing documentation per shift as assigned
  • Participating in ongoing required training
Qualifications
  • Must demonstrate the following characteristics: reliable, responsible, team player, ability to grow and learn in the position, detail-oriented, organized, flexible, capacity to provide support and quality care to improve the physical and mental health of individuals served.
  • Must be an independent problem-solver, able to work with minimal supervision when necessary
  • One-year experience in an acute mental health and/or dual diagnosis setting (preferred)
  • Familiarity with recovery oriented treatment for severe mental illness (preferred)
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/Associates/Bachelor’s degree)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) must be licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration
Schedule & Compensation
  • Schedule is Saturday/Sunday 3-11pm (Saturday and Sunday may be combined with 7am-3pm for a double shift on either weekend day)
  • Part-Time:
    Days – Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm (16 hrs.); may be combined with 3-11pm for a double shift on either weekend day
  • LPN shift differentials for the Stabilization Unit: 7a – 11p (Sat & Sun only) Base + $1.00; 11p – 7a (any day of the week) Base + $2.00; 3-11pm (Mon-Fri) Base + $1.00
