Job SummaryThe Systems Analyst / Programmer is responsible for the oversight, operation, and security of information technology systems supporting Air Force mission requirements. This role manages server infrastructure, applications, databases, and intranet services while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense, Air Force, and contract-specific requirements. The position provides technical leadership for IT operations, implements cybersecurity directives, supports system availability and data integrity, and coordinates with government stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure information systems in a controlled environment.
Responsibilities- Supervise and oversee daily operations of the IT department.
- Ensure servers, peripherals, communications devices, and software systems remain operational and fully supported. Maintain the security, integrity, and accountability of Air Force information systems on the intranet.
- Manage security groups, intranet websites, and databases.
- Implement and comply with all Cyber Command and Control (C2) orders.
- Identify and mitigate malicious logic on information systems.
- Manage organizational software licenses.
- Perform server configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Provide hosting services for technical order systems.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Understand and comply with all requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- Enforce strict adherence to technical data, Air Force Instructions (AFIs), management procedures, and company policies.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with base organizations, senior leadership, and related civilian organizations.
- Will perform relevant additional duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in:
- Server administration
- Software development
Demonstrated proficiency with:
- Windows Server
- SQL Server
- Server administration and troubleshooting
Experience with web server and web programming technologies, including:
- HTML
- C#
- ASP.NET
- SQL
- Java Script
- Power Shell scripting
Familiarity with software engineering principles.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel (including Excel Power Query and BI-related skills).
- In-depth working knowledge of material management systems and applicable Air Force Instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken, read, and written).
- Ability to work day, night, and weekend shifts as required.
- Professional demeanor when working with customers and company personnel.
- Willingness and ability to complete on-the-job and specialty training as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher if required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued Restricted Area Badge for unescorted access to restricted work areas.
- Work environment ranges from office settings to hangars and flight line areas.
- Physical demands may include prolonged sitting as well as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, stretching, and lifting as required by job duties.
