Job Description Summary
Installs, configures, and troubleshoots campus personal computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades on computer hardware, software and peripherals.
- Performs installation of network communications equipment, fiber optics, twisted pair, and hardware.
- Upgrades network hardware and software components as required.
- Provides hardware and software telephone support to the campus community.
- Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- Provides technical advice to University departments on software and hardware acquisitions.
- Writes and maintains user documentation, training manuals, and help documents.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science, computer information systems, or related field.
- One to two years professional related experience and/or training in personal computing and network computing software, hardware and peripheral support; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Database software;
Internet software;
Order processing systems;
Payroll systems;
Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
