Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement and planning activities, including material ordering, supplier scheduling, purchase order administration, delivery tracking, invoice reconciliation, and compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and execute inventory and replenishment strategies to ensure material availability, maintain optimal inventory levels, support production and customer demand, and minimize stock-outs, excess, and obsolete inventory.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance in quality, delivery, lead time, sustainability, and cost, and proactively resolve supply, quality, non-conformance, and claims issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to align forecasts and S&OP plans, support engineering change implementation, manage inventory reconciliation and obsolescence reviews, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years OR Associate's degree with 4+ years of supply chain, planning, purchasing, or related experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office

    Experience:

    (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Advanced Excel).

Preferred Experience:

Proficiency in SAP, Power BI supporting engineering change implementation and material planning processes.

  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, demand planning, and procurement best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical and independent decision-making skills, with the ability to identify issues and drive effective solutions.
  • Customer-focused professional with a proactive mindset, sense of urgency, leadership initiative, and experience applying root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
