Operations Manager

The Operations Manager oversees daily operations of the metals service center, ensuring efficient processing, storage, and distribution of metal products. This role focuses on optimizing productivity, maintaining safety and quality standards, managing personnel, and delivering timely, cost-effective service to customers.

This position will oversee a brand new highly automated facility currently being built in Columbus, Mississippi.

• Plan, coordinate, and manage warehouse, processing, and logistics operations
• Use of automated KPI tracking systems to gather performance metrics (e.g., KPIs), creating reports to drive and improve productivity and efficiencies throughout the plant
• Ensure accurate order fulfillment and on‑time delivery
• Supervise metal processing operations including cutting and shearing
• Oversee inventory control, material handling, and traceability
• Promote safety compliance and a strong safety culture
• Lead, coach, and develop operations staff; manage scheduling and performance
• Drive continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and process optimization
• Collaborate with maintenance, purchasing, and sales to maximize efficiency and reliability

• Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of management experience in a metals service center or similar environment
• Knowledge of processing automotive quality aluminum sheet products a plus
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of metal products, warehouse operations, and production processes
• Adaptability in a fast‑paced, changing environment
