An established and innovative aerospace manufacturer is looking for an Experienced Paint Shop Technician to join its production team, supporting the build and refinement of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles and related products.

About this PositionAs an Experienced Paint Shop Technician, you’ll play a key role in preparing, finishing, and assembling aerospace components to exacting standards. Working from engineering drawings and process documentation, you’ll ensure products meet both aesthetic and technical specifications before moving through the next stages of production.
You’ll be part of a collaborative manufacturing team, contributing to products used in cutting-edge aerospace applications. The role is hands-on and suited to someone who enjoys working with tools, materials, and technical documentation in a structured environment.
Job Responsibilities- Sand, sandblast, and resurface blemishes to prepare components for finishing
- Prepare, prime, and apply exterior paint to UAVs and associated products
- Assemble painted components in line with process requirements
- Prepare and mix adhesives, paints, resins, and related materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, process standards, and parts lists
- Operate and maintain paint shop equipment, ensuring it remains safe and fully functional
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant working environment
- Conduct visual inspections of components and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
We’re looking for someone who combines technical know-how with a careful, methodical approach to their work.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar paint shop, manufacturing, or aerospace environment
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering instructions and technical drawings
- Confidence using hand tools such as screwdrivers, ratchets, torque wrenches, precision measuring equipment, and paint shop machinery
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must qualify as a U.S. person in accordance with applicable regulations
- Related community college qualification or relevant military experience
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and work with hands for detailed tasks
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Able to wear required PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and respirator equipment
