Job DescriptionAirbus Helicopters is looking for an Aircraft Technician A – Flight Line to join our Flight Line team based in Columbus, MS.
ResponsibilitiesPerform basic assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and conduct function checks of components. Assist with operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems. Assist in diagnosing malfunctions or failures and make adjustments, repairs or replacements of parts or components.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum four (4) years of aviation maintenance experience.
- Background in aviation maintenance.
- 10% domestic and international travel.
- US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license).
- Carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30 pounds (14 kg) daily.
- Lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60 pounds (27 kg) daily.
- Push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools daily.
- Sit for long periods of time in meetings or while working on the computer weekly.
- Squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving daily.
- Stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor daily.
- Travel independently and on short notice as needed.
- Walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces daily.
- Personal Protective Equipment required (Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, Protective Gloves).
- Administrative position only PPE requirement:
Steel-toed shoes required for all shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
