Manufacturing Engineer - Reman (SG 25)

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Remanufacturing – SG2 5
PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company well‑known for its Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF trucks. The new Remanufacturing Facility will refurbish engines after 1 million+ miles of service life and assemble remanufactured engines for an additional 1 million+ miles.
The Manufacturing Engineer Remanufacturing is responsible for implementing, monitoring, improving, and supporting new and existing processes.
Responsibilities- Develop new and improved remanufacturing manufacturing processes and provide required assembly/machining process definition and documentation.
- Achieve stability in all engine‑related processes by establishing process FMEAs, developing and implementing process control plans, and optimizing individual workstations to maximize output.
- Specify, procure, and approve necessary tools and equipment to sustain a flexible remanufacturing process.
- Develop and maintain new equipment project books, equipment FMEA standards, and engineering operational standards for use across departments.
- Support running business in daily startup, continuous improvement and total productive maintenance teams.
- Manage facility equipment numbering, documentation, and IT system integration.
- Conduct time and work sequence studies and implement required process modifications to improve quality and meet higher market demands.
- Provide direction within working groups to set priorities, project plans, and due dates, monitor activities within the team, and coordinate implementations and final reporting to area management.
- Maintain plant’s torque control tool spare parts management, tooling repair and replacement, and DC tool program back‑ups.
- Maintain PLC programs and modify as needed to support operations.
- Develop procedures and plant arrangements to ensure proper material handling and storage.
- Participate in commissioning and new product launch activities.
- Facilitate effective communication to plant management on project status.
- B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial) plus 4 years of applicable manufacturing experience, or other bachelor’s degree (Industrial Technology or similar) plus 5 years of applicable manufacturing engineering experience.
- Automotive remanufacturing manufacturing experience.
- Practical application of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma tools.
