A growing steel manufacturing organization is seeking a Metallurgy Production Specialist to support product quality, process optimization, and customer satisfaction across mill operations. This role is ideal for a technically strong metallurgist who thrives in a hands - on production environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and cross - functional collaboration.
The Metallurgy Production Specialist will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with product development, mill operations, and technical services to improve product robustness and reduce conversion costs
- Support customer claims, corrective actions, and technical issue resolution in partnership with sales and technical teams
- Execute and support product trials in coordination with metallurgists, engineers, and operations leadership
- Drive root cause analysis of internal and external quality issues and implement improvement actions
- Review customer requirements and product capabilities for assigned operational areas
- Assist with daily product disposition and line parameter settings to ensure customer specifications are met
- Maintain quality systems, documentation, and continuous improvement records
- Support customer visits, mill tours, and technical exchanges
The Metallurgy Production Specialist should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Multiple years of experience in steel production and/or steel applications
- Experience with data analysis, SPC, and process control tools
- Knowledge of ISO, IATF, API, or related quality standards
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
