Responsibilities
- Responsible for a wide range of inspection functions across organization including:
- Approve incoming materials: confirm specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, and reject unacceptable materials in accordance with Stark Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and Policy as well as customer requirements.
- Approve in-process production: confirm specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to production supervisor and personnel.
- Approve finished products: confirm specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, issue COC’s, return products for re-work and confirming re-work.
- Document inspection results: complete reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality database.
- Issue, review and validate product non-conformances.
- Review quality procedures and engineering requirements.
- Recommend adjustments to the receiving, assembly, production and/or shipping processes.
- Train and mentor personnel in the importance of building quality into the product.
- Issue nonconformances; review and assist in validating corrective action plans for nonconformance issues.
- Perform First Article Inspection and documentation.
- Provide technical support.
- Provide timely support of identified issues.
- Provide oversight for production equipment maintenance and inspection.
- Maintain various tracking spreadsheets e.g.: approved vendors, calibrated tools, etc.
- Conduct/assist with internal and external Quality Management System audits as required.
- Contribute to a team environment resulting in effective communication between Quality Department and Production.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel as needed.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Understanding of unique subjects as defined in engineering documents, drawings, standards, quality requirements, etc.
- Two years production inspection experience or relative work experience qualifying individual to conduct inspection work, including dimensional inspections using standard precision measuring equipment, visual inspection techniques, and basic shop math.
- Two years working in an environment with a documented quality management system.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in electro optics assembly environment and with ESD sensitive parts.
- Experience in an ISO
9001/AS9100 certified aerospace company.
