Store Helper

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Store Helper for the Family Thrift Store, located in Columbus, MS.

• Assists customers in donating, locating and/or selecting store items; stocks and arranges store items in a neat and orderly manner; monitors the store displays and performs various cleaning activities to ensure the store is properly maintained.

• Ability to maintain the store displays in a neat and orderly manner.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

• No formal education or experience required.

• None

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light objects (less than 25 lbs.).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
