Job Description
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician to join our H145 FAL team based in Columbus, MS. The role involves electrical installation, fabrication, repair, replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems, and function checks to verify proper functioning of components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft.
Skill Bridge ProgramAirbus is an authorized DoD Skill Bridge partner (per DoDI 1322.29). This 180‑day program allows transitioning service members to leverage their military technical expertise in a high‑precision aerospace environment.
- Active‑duty service member within 180 days of separation.
- Written commander (O‑4 or above) authorization.
- Must have current work authorization for U.S. positions.

Your Working EnvironmentOn the eastern border of Mississippi you'll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It's here that we produce the UH‑72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H‑125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

- Apply the basic techniques and procedures of electrical installation.
- Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams and different standards in the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical components.
- Lay‑in route wires in aircraft, tying, lacing and apply appropriate anti‑chaff protection.
- Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains and different electronic components such as resistors, capacitors and diodes.
- Minimum six (6) years of aviation electrical experience.
- Current “A & P” license is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license).
- Onsite or remote: 98% onsite.
- Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, read documents, reports and engineering drawings, and read wire numbers.
- Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
- Equipment operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
- Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs (27 kg).
- Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs (27 kg).
- Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull equipment and tools.
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
- Squatting / Kneeling: must be able to bend, stoop, and squat. Must be able to move about freely in areas with moving aircraft and…
