M1 is looking for a T-6/T-38 Aircraft Worker. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Task qualified to perform minor maintenance and repair of assigned aircraft under limited supervision.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with senior section personnel.
- Perform all aircraft servicing tasks.
- Launch and recover aircraft.
- Perform pre-flight and thru-flight inspections.
- May volunteer to perform BPO inspections when approved by Management.
- Remove and install aircraft panels.
- After task qualification, remove and install aircraft components as directed and perform aircraft maintenance per qualifications.
- Assist in aircraft jacking operations.
- Operate ground support equipment and use hand tools, special tools, and fixtures as required.
- Perform tow team duties to include wing walker, brake rider, tug driver, and tow team supervisor.
- Vacuum and clean aircraft and aircraft transparencies.
- Takes fuel and oil samples.
- Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
- Annotate maintenance actions in aircraft records and be knowledgeable in CAMS documentation.
- Promote company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
- Be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies.
- Assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
- Work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
- Perform other assigned duties to include TDY and travel.
- Receive cross utilization training (CUT) and be required to perform those maintenance tasks.
- Minimum of two years hands‑on recent aircraft maintenance experience as an aircraft servicer or equivalent on the specific aircraft required.
- Personnel with recent experience as an aircraft mechanic do not require specific aircraft experience.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Working knowledge of mechanical tools.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Stable employment history.
- Potential to progress to advanced positions based on enthusiasm, aptitude, self‑improvement efforts, and attitude.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver’s license and may be required to obtain and maintain a class CDL.
Physical exertion requirement is medium.
