Regional Construction Superintendent - Midwest
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of jobsite operations. This person will effectively oversee the entire project from start to finish. They will be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of the site. This position is based out of the Columbus, NE office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
At least 5 years in the construction field preferably in a supervisor role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of:
Leadership and computer skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Ability to:
Work independently with little direction - Work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to establish good working relationship with many individuals including clients, PMs, subcontractors, and crew
- Must understand construction drawings, plans, specifications and be knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Travel frequently (75%)
- Obtain a valid CDL
- Be CPR certified
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of a job site in all types of weather
- Must be able to encounter hot and cold temperatures when outside on jobsites
- Must be able to encounter dusty, muddy, slippery, and wet conditions depending on the time of the year
- Exposure to characteristic construction site danger
Strength Level: 25-40 pounds
