Surgical Technology Adjunct

WESTERN IOWA TECH COMMUNITY COLLEGE EMPLOYMENT

Teach Surgical Technology and related courses. Other duties include, but are not limited to, classroom management, teaching laboratory sessions, and Clinical Instruction.

• Work directly in the clinical or lab setting to guide and teach students, evaluate students’ performance and provide feedback.
• Effective organizational skills, particularly as they relate to the teaching-learning process.
• Demonstrated experience in student learning and teaching excellence.
• An understanding of the community college philosophy and the community college student.
• Experience with alternative learning delivery methods and systems.
• Commitment to cultural diversity among students, faculty, and in the curriculum.
• Experience in delivering computer-enhanced laboratory simulations.
• Computer experience in common software and Internet.
• Successful teaching experience.

Only applicants who reside in Iowa, Nebraska, or South Dakota will be considered

• Credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies ( NCCA ).
• Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field – Preferred
• Three (3) years’ experience in Surgical Technology industry.
