Position Summary

ADM Corn Technology Center – this exempt level position supports plant process areas related to the processing of corn in both a wet mill and a dry mill. The role primarily supports the Feed House and the Mill within the Carbohydrate Solutions Wet Milling Technology Group, helping the Columbus wet and dry mill achieve its energy intensity and sustainability goals through reliability, efficiency, and yield recovery improvements.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead, develop, and support a safety culture while promoting continuous process safety improvement.
  • Benchmark the location against internal and external best available technologies and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and prioritize the Wave portfolio in cooperation with plant leadership and the Director of Technology, where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain a 5‑year project portfolio, including capital budgeting, execution, and balancing NDE with productivity and growth.
  • Collaborate with COEs to ensure alignment of technology objectives.
  • Explore, propose, and champion new process technologies and equipment suppliers.
  • Assist plant operations in solving technical problems and setting performance goals.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to implement innovative approaches to plant operation and maintenance.
  • Serve as a resource for plant process engineers through coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Create or revise process control narratives to support operations.
Required Skills
  • Dedication to working safely and awareness of others’ safety.
  • Strong knowledge of wet and dry milling and co‑product processing unit operations.
  • Experience with optimisation and analytical tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with plant engineers and management.
  • Working knowledge of process drawings and documentation such as P&IDs and control narratives.
  • Willingness to work in plant areas, tolerate extreme temperatures, walk long distances, stand, climb stairs and ladders, and move through close spaces.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and independently while travelling to remote plant locations.
  • High level of motivation and results‑oriented work style.
  • Some travel with overnight stay required.
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Processing, Production Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with plant process systems.
  • Desired experience includes operations supervision and/or process/project engineering.
Salaried Incentive Plan

In addition to base salary, the total compensation package includes an annual bonus, based on individual and company performance.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $76,100.00 and $.
