We are looking for a dependable, organized, and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to support our team and help strengthen our recruiting, employee relations, payroll, compliance, benefits, and onboarding processes.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will support daily HR operations and serve as a key point of contact for employees, managers, applicants, and new hires. This role is responsible for assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, personnel records, training support, and HR communication.

The ideal candidate is professional, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with employees across multiple departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding

Post job openings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and assist managers throughout the hiring process. Guide new hires through onboarding, required paperwork, orientation, and initial employment requirements.

Employee Relations

Serve as a resource for employees and management by answering HR-related questions, supporting workplace communication, helping resolve employee concerns, and assisting with disciplinary actions and documentation when needed.

Payroll Support

Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping review, employee pay changes, payroll records, and payroll-related employee questions. Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in all payroll matters.

Benefits & Leave Administration

Assist with employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, sick time, and leaves of absence such as FMLA. Help employees understand available benefits and required documentation.

Compliance & Recordkeeping

Maintain confidential employee files and HR records. Support compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Assist with audits, required notices, documentation, and policy updates.

Performance, Training & Development

Support performance review processes, employee training records, safety training documentation, and development programs. Help track completion of required trainings and follow up with employees and supervisors as needed.

HR Communication & Administrative Support

Prepare HR documents, employee notices, forms, letters, reports, and internal communications. Support HR projects, employee engagement efforts, and daily administrative needs.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative HR role.

  • Experience using recruiting platforms or applicant tracking systems.

  • Experience with payroll software or payroll-related processes.

  • Strong interpersonal communication, active listening, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Strong decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience with Quick Books or similar payroll/accounting software.

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or related HR certification.

  • Experience in manufacturing, service, laundry, distribution, transportation, or industrial environments.
