Human Resources Manager

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead people operations and workplace safety initiatives at our manufacturing facility in Columbus, Nebraska. This role will oversee core HR programs, employee relations, compliance, and talent processes while helping create a productive, respectful, and well-supported work environment. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to translate data and workforce insights into practical improvements across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct human resources and environmental, health, and safety activities to support a secure, compliant, and engaged workplace.
  • Guide managers and supervisors on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation, performance concerns, and corrective action processes.
  • Oversee daily departmental operations, including planning priorities, tracking objectives, managing budgets, and improving internal workflows.
  • Manage full-cycle hiring efforts for employees, contract staff, and contractors by partnering with leaders on sourcing, interviewing, selection, offers, and onboarding.
  • Analyze workforce and HR data to identify trends, strengthen policies, and support informed business decisions.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records, reporting documentation, organizational charts, and employee directory information.
  • Assess the effectiveness of HR programs and recommend process enhancements that improve service quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion of recurring weekly, monthly, and annual HR reporting requirements.
  • Administer talent management programs such as onboarding, development planning, performance management, and succession-related activities.
  • Oversee compensation review processes, support payroll accuracy audits, and lead facility-wide communication efforts in partnership with leadership.
