Job Location: Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology.
Position SummaryThis role will play a critical role in optimizing our production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and analyze process data. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What you will be doing- Evaluate and analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process efficiency.
- Collaborate with production teams to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Enhance operator efficiency through training programs, ergonomic improvements, and standardized work practices.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop data-driven solutions to enhance production performance and quality.
- Utilize statistical tools and techniques to conduct root cause analysis and solve complex manufacturing problems.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Analyze and optimize the use of resources, including manpower, materials, machinery, and methods.
- Develop cost reduction strategies to minimize waste and improve cost-effectiveness.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to reduce operational costs.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the financial impact of process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in process improvement, cost reduction, and data analysis within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, SQL) and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software (MES).
- Project management experience is a plus.
