The Fab–Utility Technician plays a key support role within the fabrication department by assisting with daily production activities, material handling, equipment support, and general shop operations. This position ensures work areas remain safe, organized, and efficient while providing hands-on assistance to fabricators, to help maintain steady workflow and on-time production.

• Read and interpret blueprint detail drawings and dimension styles
• Primary function would be to assist in brake press operation
• Assist fabricators, welders, and machine operators with setup, staging, and material preparation
• Operate forklift and cranes according to safe operating procedures, including acquisition and maintenance training certificate
• This is a versatile, team-focused role ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, staying active, and contributing wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.

• Attention to detail
• Read 1/8”, 1/16”, and 1/32” gradations on tape measure
• Convert feet to inches and vice versa
• Convert Fractions to Decimals

• Operate equipment in a 100% safe manner following appropriate regulations, policies and procedures
• Assembly is completed according to a planned schedule
