An Assembler is responsible for completing the following duties:

• Reading and interpreting blueprint detail drawings and dimension styles
• Using shop paperwork to complete machine assembly
• Installing purchase parts and sub-assemblies prior to and after the painting process
• Installing drives and pulleys
• Updating paperwork to reflect any changes
• Operating the following equipment safely - Ironworker, Small Band Saw, Drill Presses, Jancey drills, Cutting Torch, and other equipment, as required.
• Following safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes
• Operating forklift according to safe operating procedures, including acquisition and maintenance of training certificate
• Test-running completed equipment prior to shipment
• Keeping floor clean and free of steel and tools
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to read 1/8”, 1/16”, and 1/32” gradations on tape measure
• Ability to convert feet to inches and vice versa
• Mechanical aptitude
