Machine Operator-Manufacturing1st or 2nd shift

Summary

The Production Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production. Machine Operators are required to maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies while following company policies and procedures.

• Operate production machinery, in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machine may include lathes, grinders, mills, punch presses, and similar equipment.
• Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerance.
• Maintains work center quality, units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Prepare materials and complete changeovers of machine tooling.
• Handle materials safely, reducing risk to themselves and others. Reduce the risk of damaging the materials.
• Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment, perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Perform and maintain basic cleaning of the work area every shift.
• Read blueprints, drawings specifications and utilize sample parts for the operation. Use forklift as needed.
• All other duties assigned.

High School Diploma or GED

1 year of relevant experience

• Time Management
• Problem Solving Skills
• Strong understanding of basic mathematics

• Read blueprints
• Read measuring devices (Tape Measures, etc.)
• Work alone with little to no direction
• Use proper personal protective equipment

• Technical Certification/Diploma from technical college

Must be able to complete a background check and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to starting and after offer is made.
