Plating Production Technician

Under the guidance of the Department Supervisor and/or Product Engineers, performs bath maintenance, evaluates materials, fabrics prototypes, specials and other products/processes that cannot be produced on the main product lines. Assist Engineering, maintenance, and production with equipment modifications or improvements, as well as material adaptability and performance. Assists and performs production functions which may fall outside the roles of maintenance or production personnel.

• With minimal direction from supervisor or engineering, build custom samples and prototypes for evaluation.
• Perform special testing of products as necessary.
• Determine specific requirements from Dale specification for plating bath maintenance.
• Perform bath maintenance for plating lab.
• Following Engineering or Production direction, perform and/or assist with equipment/material debug and changeovers.
• Following appropriate company specifications or under engineering or production direction, complete manufacture of products.

• Associate’s degree in technical field or a minimum of two years equivalent experience.
• Eye‑hand coordination and good manual dexterity to accurately process the small parts manufactured.
• Ability to do to average to heavy lifting, occasionally more than 50 lbs.
