Position Summary

The general function of this job is to set up, changeover, improve and maintain production equipment so that quality and quantity standards are met or exceeded. The role includes training and developing operators, providing on-the-floor leadership, ensuring compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and safety regulations, and maintaining punctual attendance.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform equipment changeovers and set up equipment properly.
  • Maintain equipment in a good state of repair to meet production and quality standards.
  • Generate accurate maintenance records and other required reports.
  • Ensure machine cleanliness and conduct preventive maintenance.
  • Provide coverage for absent colleagues.
  • Assist operators during equipment operation and break times.
  • Actively participate in and lead teams, including scheduling, process improvement, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Work safely, handle chemicals properly, and ensure the safety of workmates.
  • Align with management requests as needed.
  • May work in a clean room environment and follow all GMP rules.
Education

High School diploma/GED required;
Associate’s Degree preferred in a mechanical related field.

Experience

Mechanical skills/education/background required.

  • Proficient mechanical ability.

  • Proficient hand‑tool and gauge knowledge.

  • Proficient teamwork.
  • Proficient leadership skills.
  • PCP Level: 4; may require respirators to be worn and mandatory passing of annual fit testing.
