Job Description

A Quality Inspector is responsible for completing the following duties:

  • Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, reject and return unacceptable materials
  • Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, communicate required adjustments to the Production Supervisor
  • Approve finished products by confirming specifications, return products for re-work and confirm re-work
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs
  • Summarize re-work and waste, input all data into a Quality Database
  • Maintain measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements. Schedule repair and/or maintenance as needed
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Expand job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers and other measuring instruments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with computers
  • Exercise effective time management skills
  • Basic Math skills
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers and other measuring instruments
  • One to two years quality inspection experience
