Job DescriptionA Quality Inspector is responsible for completing the following duties:
- Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, reject and return unacceptable materials
- Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, communicate required adjustments to the Production Supervisor
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications, return products for re-work and confirm re-work
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Summarize re-work and waste, input all data into a Quality Database
- Maintain measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements. Schedule repair and/or maintenance as needed
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Expand job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers and other measuring instruments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with computers
- Exercise effective time management skills
- Basic Math skills
- Analytical thinking skills
- Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers and other measuring instruments
- One to two years quality inspection experience
