Principal Accountabilities

 Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electric, propane, and diesel-powered forklifts and material handling equipment
 Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to support continuous plant operations and minimize unplanned downtime
 Conduct equipment inspections to ensure compliance with Cargill safety policies, OSHA requirements, and food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP as applicable)
 Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns with a strong sense of urgency to support production needs
 Maintain batteries, fuel systems, brakes, steering, tires, and control systems
 Accurately document maintenance work, parts usage, and equipment history in CMMS systems
 Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability teams to prioritize work and improve equipment performance
 Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (CI), 5S, and reliability efforts
 Follow all Cargill Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Food Safety policies at all times
 Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area

Required Qualifications

 Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
 Must be 18 years or older
 High school diploma or GED equivalent
 2+ years of industrial forklift repair experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
 Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
 Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions
 Basic computer skills for maintenance systems and documentation
 Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, working in varying temperatures)

Preferred Qualifications

 Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Diesel Technology, or related field
 Experience in a food manufacturing environment
 Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement (CI), and reliability-centered maintenance

Experience with multiple forklift brands (Toyota, Crown, Hyster, Yale)
