** Principal Accountabilities*
* + Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electric, propane, and diesel-powered forklifts and material handling equipment
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to support continuous plant operations and minimize unplanned downtime
+ Conduct equipment inspections to ensure compliance with Cargill safety policies, OSHA requirements, and food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP as applicable)
+ Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns with a strong sense of urgency to support production needs
+ Maintain batteries, fuel systems, brakes, steering, tires, and control systems
+ Accurately document maintenance work, parts usage, and equipment history in CMMS systems
+ Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability teams to prioritize work and improve equipment performance
+ Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (CI), 5S, and reliability efforts
+ Follow all Cargill Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Food Safety policies at all times
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area
** Required Qualifications*
* + Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
+ Must be 18 years or older
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent
+ 2+ years of industrial forklift repair experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions
+ Basic computer skills for maintenance systems and documentation
+ Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, working in varying temperatures)
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Diesel Technology, or related field
+ Experience in a food manufacturing environment
+ Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement (CI), and reliability-centered maintenance
+
Experience with multiple forklift brands (Toyota, Crown, Hyster, Yale)
