Join our production team as an Operator 1, Machine in Columbus, NE. In this hands-on, onsite role, you'll be an essential part of our daily operations, ensuring products meet strict quality and safety standards. This contractor position offers a consistent Monday-Friday first-shift schedule (8am-4pm) with a competitive pay rate of $20.00/hour. [Responsibilities]
- Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment efficiently
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks on products
- Execute changeovers, line clearance, cleaning, and basic equipment troubleshooting
- Record production data accurately in SAP and MES systems
- Support continuous equipment operation and participate in process improvement teams
- Uphold all FDA, GMP, and ISO
9000 compliance standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Assist in rework processes and cross-train within the department as needed
- Participate in identifying root causes for production issues
- Achieve production and quality goals, driving results by minimizing downtime
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Minimum 5 years of relevant production or manufacturing experience
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
- Basic data entry skills (SAP/MES)
- English language proficiency
[Preferred Skills]
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with microscopes, calipers, or precision gauges
- Willingness and ability to train and mentor team members
