Job SummaryResponsible for performing electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process and facilitate the repair of that equipment to support the demands of production.
Responsibilities- Perform periodic maintenance on all assigned equipment.
- Work assignments are made by automated methods (cell phone text messaging).
- Complete work assignments in the maintenance program via keyboard entry.
- Determine equipment priorities based on production demands and interface with production supervisors.
- Receive and prioritize machine repair actions for assigned area.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
- Make accurate inputs of repair actions into the maintenance program via keyboard entry as they occur.
- Perform diagnostics and use test equipment to perform checkouts.
- Work independently following directions from the lead person and self-governed daily maintenance activities.
- 2-year degree in Industrial Electrical / Mechanical Systems Maintenance or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Display specific training in Electrical and/or Electronic Theory.
- Display specific training in Mechanical Systems Maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and all source materials related to the operation and maintenance of equipment in the plant.
- Ability to quickly diagnose equipment malfunctions and return to operational condition.
- Ability to utilize proper tools and test equipment to facilitate the best repair possible.
- Ability to perform adequate manipulation with manual dexterity required to operate all tools needed for repair.
- Ability to perform bending, twisting, and reaching motions to manipulate a load of at least 30 lbs.
- Must use all personal protective equipment required for the maintenance tasks.
- Must use all standard electrical and machine safety practices recommended by OSHA.
