We are seeking great talent to help us build The DNA of tech. ® Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Shunt Production Machine Operator on 1st shift (Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm). Overtime is available as needed.

• Operate and tend all types of production machines such as punch press and feed systems, uni-punch, test equipment, deburring machines, drill presses, mill, molding press, solder print and reflow equipment to produce production parts and aid in the manufacturing of engineering samples.
• Aid in the building of engineering sample orders.
• Use machine tools including lathe, high-speed punch press, cut-off saws, deburring equipment, drill presses and other associated equipment.
• Set up and run Screen Printer and assemble PCB to shunts with engineering assistance.
• Receive work assignments from Engineering as to part type to be produced, based on blueprints, technical specifications, sketches, or drawings.
• Consult with Engineering regarding completeness of specifications, prints, or sketches and to set up proper tooling, stock feeders, or other requirements for production.
• Set up stamping line, including some dies, per specifications and ensure all raw materials are present and correct.
• Advise die makers of the setup required for the product being run when appropriate.
• Operate any or all equipment described above as needed.
• Maintain continuous visual inspection for imperfect parts and perform intermittent inspections using micrometers, calipers, inspection gauges, measuring microscopes, and optical comparators.
• Ensure all materials and tools are used effectively.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment, and processes; familiarity with resistance testing and the ability to run machine tools such as milling machines.
• Must be able to handle and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds and work with a wide range of metal stock and related materials.
