Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee our 145 licensed beds in skilled nursing and 38 licensed beds in assisted living facility. The DON will play a key role in shaping exceptional resident care, promoting compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a strong, high-performing nursing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), including performance evaluations and development
  • Oversee resident care plans and ensure high-quality care and accurate documentation
  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and CMS regulations; participate in surveys and audits
  • Manage staffing, budgets, and departmental resources efficiently
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain positive relationships with residents and families
Qualifications
  • RN required; BSN preferred
  • Long-term care experience with leadership background
  • Active RN license (Nebraska)
  • Nursing administration certification (e.g., CDONA) preferred
Skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement principles.
