Position DutiesGeneral responsibilities include managing an established sales territory, selling, servicing, account management, administration, and accounts receivables. Sales are business‑to‑business oriented, and results rely heavily on the candidate’s ability to quickly build relationships and dedicate to servicing accounts. This person will be servicing On‑Premise accounts (restaurants, bars, etc.) and must be familiar with the Columbus, Fremont, and Norfolk areas.
Territory Management- Ensure consistent customer contact
- Properly plan and execute sales initiatives
- Handle all customer related issues promptly and in a friendly manner
- Full understanding of products and pricing schedules
- Make effective sales presentations
- Achieve assigned company objectives and grow business successfully
- Identify and nurture new and underserved accounts
- Use all available POS to enhance selling efforts
- Knowledge of all deals, programming, and initiatives the company has
- Follow the necessary steps when making sales calls
- Perform reliable and consistent customer service to accounts
- Face‑to‑face interaction with customers
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Handle all paperwork issues in a proper and timely manner
- BA/BS degree or related industry experience, or equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Goal‑driven and results oriented
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
- Local candidates preferred; no relocation package
- Desire to sell and capacity to create professional presentations
- Prior sales experience and/or prior wine and spirits industry sales preferred
- Availability to work outside 8‑5 schedule, including early evening hours and occasional weekend events
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, goal‑oriented, timely, and able to prioritize
- Ability to connect well with a large range of buyer types
- Professional written, oral, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to lift 54 pounds from the ground and above 60 inches
- Team player attitude and actions
- Candidate must live and be familiar with the Columbus, Fremont, and Norfolk areas
